A new great opportunity for our FleX-RAY project to be showcased has come. This time, our project travels to Vienna, Austria, where the IEEE Sensors 2023 conference will be taking place between October 29- November 1. The forum has been up and running since 2002, providing fertile ground for researchers, engineers and practitioners from the international academia and the industry world to demonstrate their ideas, works and applications around sensors and sensing technologies.
Our FleX-RAY partner, Research Institute of Sweden (RISE), will present the poster entitled “Flexible Liquid-Filled Scintillating Fibers for X-Ray Detection”. Therefore, congratulations are in order for the University of Sheffield as well as the Royal Institute of Technology for their contributions since they made this research endeavour possible. The paper focuses on scintillating fibres for X-ray detection, their design and fabrication with silica fibres and capillaries.
